 
We here at the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi would like to thank you for your interest in our fraternity. Year end and year out we are able to continue to expand our legacy as we recruit the most outstanding individuals from around Mississippi, throughout the Southeast, and beyond. If you ever have any questions or would like to contact us, feel free to do so. Also, we will be hosting several events during the upcoming Spring and Summer 2010 that we would love for you to attend. More information on these events can be obtained by contacting the men below.
In addition to attending our events, we also invite you to explore our website so that you may catch a glimpse at what we at Sigma Chi are all about. Through your exploration, you will find that we are thoroughly involved in nearly every sector of campus life and involvement. We are active in the Student Association and its many divisions, Alumni Delegates, Honor and Scholastic Clubs and Societies, Intermurals, Religious Clubs and Associations, MSU Roadrunners, Music Makers, MSU Athletics, and others as well as being involved in the Starkville/Oktibbeha County Community through Habitat for Humanity, the local Boys and Girls Club, and many others. We continuously win awards for our activities, scholarship, and our campus and community leadership and service. Some of our recent awards include the Ritter Award in recognition of holding the highest fraternity GPA of 3.06 for the year 2008, a 2008-2009 Peterson Significant Chapter Award recognizing our chapter as one of the top Sigma Chi chapters in the country, a 2007-2008 James F. Bash Significant Chapter Award winner, member Rhett Hobart being named the 2009 Greek Model Member of the Year, and members Ross Weems and Heston Ray being inducted into the 2009 Greek Hall of Fame. In addition to being an award winning chapter, we also donate over $50,000 to charity annual, with our 2008-2009 number approaching $60,000. You will also notice that we are blessed to have amazing facilites. This past fall, we were honored to open our new $1.6M Sigma Chi Learning Center on the south side of our property. With the above outline, you can see that we have a lot to talk about in regards to Sigma Chi at Mississippi State. We invite you to further explore our chapter through the the recruitment process, and we hope that you may one day call Sigma Chi home. Through your exploration, you will find that through our brotherhood, service, involvement, and scholarship, we at Sigma Chi have taken young men and developed them into true and genuine leaders.
Our chapter will also be in attendance at all Interfraternity Council sponsored events held during most freshman orientation sessions in spring/summer 2010. Please try to also attend these events if you are interested in Sigma Chi at Mississippi State.
Pledging a fraternity is a monumental decision of your life; therefore, do not feel pressured into any decision. Pledge where you feel at home; this is your choice! Relax and enjoy. The best experiences of your life thus far await you! Choose wisely!
